Treatment Fees £42
Consultation:
Relevant questions will be asked in a comfortable and confidential environment. It may be beneficial for some items of clothing to be removed in order to assess your posture (if you prefer to wear light clothing this can be worked around).
Problem areas are identified in the body with a highly developed sense of touch, called palpation. This identifies points of dysfunction, weakness or excessive strain.
On occasion, additional information such as X-rays or blood tests may be required via your GP. This will allow a full diagnosis and suitable treatment plan to be developed for you. Each patient is treated as an individual with the treatment plan tailored towards your specific needs.
The key to successful treatment lies in careful and accurate diagnosis along with the skillful application of specific Osteopathic techniques.
Solution:
Treatment is hands-on and performed on a comfortable Osteopathic table. This may include massage to tight muscles or stretching of stiff or misaligned joints. Joint manipulation (joint clicks) are used when appropriate to increase flexibility. This is a safe and fast way to restore function and health to tight areas. On occasion it may be necessary to use Acupuncture needles or Cranial Osteopathy.
Management:
The absence of pain does not always equal good health! !
The body can 'hide' areas of tension that will gradually build up, and suddenly become painful 'CRISIS CARE'.
This can show as a result of very minor movements or even for no apparent reason.
Many people choose to visit on an 'MOT' basis. This allows the silently building, tight areas in the body to be removed BEFORE pain occurs. This allows them to take control of their body, preventing acute debilitating pain which can affect their home, and family life.
